Incredible People. Incredible Fashion. Every Day.

Rapper Pusha T has hired Kanye West to design a T-shirt to coincide with the release of his latest album It’s Almost Dry. King Push, real name Terrence Thornton, took to Twitter to announce that West, who is his long-term collaborator (West features on and even co-produced T’s album) worked with him on a limited edition charcoal tee.

T tweeted: “YE COOKED UP THE BRICK…DONDA DESIGNED BOX SET FOR SALE NOW.” The product, which matches the muted colour palette of Ye’s recently-launched Yeezy x Gap x Balenciaga line, simply reads “Pusha T” on the front and “It’s Almost Dry” on the reverse side.

The T-shirt is part of a Kanye-designed merchandise box, which Pusha is dubbing a “Brick” box. The box features a copy of It’s Almost Dry with album art designed by Raf Simons collaborator Sterling Ruby, a plain white box with the “Parental Advisory” stamped on it a mock cocaine brick covered in brown packing tape, in reference T’s title as one of the best “coke rappers” around.

It’s hardly a surprise that Pusha has enlisted West to design a T-shirt. West is no stranger to fashion designing. Following a stint as an intern at Fendi in 2009, he told BBC Radio 1 host Zane Lowe in 2013 that he was behind the rise of leather sweatpants at the brand: “How many motherfuckers you done seen with a leather jogging pant?” he asked Lowe.

In 2009 he partnered with world-famous shoe company Nike and together they created the first-ever Air Yeezy sneaker before their partnership ended. In the same year, he partnered with Louis Vuitton to create a Kanye West x LV sneakers, which even made their way onto the Parisian brand’s catwalk. Following that he partnered with Adidas and since 2013 they’ve been putting out sneakers under the Yeezy umbrella, which sell out instantly. West introduced DW Kanye West, a womenswear line, in 2011, which he shelved to kickstart his military wear-inspired Yeezy, which, while inconsistent with its seasonal drops, is still running today. As well as that he has tried his hand at designing for APC, and is behind the successful Yeezy Gap line.

You can purchase the box and the tee now on Pusha T’s official website, although you’ll have to wait to wear the Ye-designed merch because shipping won’t begin until mid-June. We’d expect nothing less from anything Kanye West has touched.
